We fully belive in the concept that the more you put into something the more you will get out, and we want all of our students to get involved in everything Springwood has to offer.

We embedded this expectation into our Personal Development programmes that every student participates in.

Become a HERO 

Every year 7 students is set the challenge to be a HERO. Top marks n this challenge makes you a SUPER HERO!

Once HERO status has been achieved students move onto the ENDEAVOUR programme. This has been described by the students as one of the most fun things that you can do at Springwood that really puts you outside your comfort zone!

Successfully completing the nine challenges, including fundraising for charity and presenting in front of an audience, gains you entry to Springfest at the end of year 8.

Duke of Edinburgh

Every Springwood student has the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. All year 9 students are entered for their Bronze Award. From there they are strongly encouraged to continue onto higher awards. 

We want our students to take the lead wherever possible, and we gain an enormous sense of pride watching them grow into these roles and change their part of the world for the better.
