Erasmus+

About Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport.

It has an estimated budget of €26.2 billion. This is nearly double the funding compared to its predecessor programme (2014-2020).

The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life.

It supports priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda. The programme also

  • supports the European Pillar of Social Rights
  • implements the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027
  • develops the European dimension in sport

Erasmus+ offers mobility and cooperation opportunities in

Erasmus+ in the UK

The Department for Education oversees Erasmus+ in the UK. The programme is managed by the UK National Agency which is a partnership between the British Council and Ecorys UK. We work to deliver the programme for the benefit of participating UK organisations, and the individuals who are able to study, train, volunteer or gain work experience abroad through the programme.

Hosting Families

If your child is taking part in the Erasmus+ project you may, in the future, be asked to host a visiting student.  To ensure that we meet the requirements laid out by Erasmus+ you will need to complete a DBS Check. These will be completed by the school but you will be required to provide documentation to support the application.

If you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact one of the Erasmus+ Team.
