Springwood Sixth Form was delighted to welcome former student Rosie Hill on 12th February.
Rosie left Springwood in 2010 and is now a trainee lawyer at local firm Fraser Dawbarns. Rosie was the keynote speaker for the day and gave a speech about her journey from Springwood to a law career. She covered a range of topics, all of interest to our current sixth formers, including; A level revision tips, what life at university is like and the importance of travelling abroad. The students listened intently to Rosie's stories about her study in Ottawa Canada and how living in a different country helped with her life and career. They also had a Q and A session with Rosie as well as the chance to speak with her in small groups to discuss applications to university and law careers.
Mr Pettitt, the Director of Sixth Form, said 'it is great to have someone give up their time on a working day to talk about their journey since they left us. I know that the students were inspired to hear someone who, not so long ago, was exactly where they are now and has now made a great career for themselves.'
