In art with Mrs Emspon 7F1, 7H2, 7S1 and 7O2 have been exploring how pattern and different elements of pattern have been in Mexico for the Festival Day of the Dead.
Following their win in late 2018, on Saturday 9th February, three students from Springwood High School took part in the second round of the Rotary Youth Speaks competition in Cambridge.

Friends, former colleagues and students joined the family of Peter Hopkins at Springwood High School on Thursday November 29th to celebrate his life and contribution to the School. Mr Hopkins joined Springwood High School as only its second ever Headteacher after Michael Griffiths in September 1995 and remained in that role until August 2010. He sadly passed away aged just 67 at the very end of 2017.
On Wednesday 28th November, three SHS students took part in the Rotary Club’s Youth Speaks competition. This year it was held on home turf in our very own drama studio!
Our Poetry By Heart champions, Merissa Lawrence and Anoushka Chandrasekar (Year 9) had a unique opportunity to celebrate First World War Centenary by visiting Battlefields and War Memorials in Belgium and France.
120 students from across West Norfolk schools commemorated the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War through song and poetry.
On Friday 9th November, Springwood High School's Year 7 took part in a Remembrance Service to commemorate the fallen in a Remembrance Service.
