The History department once again turned the Sandringham playing field into a Battle ground by reinacting the Battle of Hastings 1066.  Celebrating the battles 950th anniversary  all year 7's brought in a large home made painted shield representing  either a Saxon or Norman soldier.  The classes charged and shouted their way to victory or defeat and began to learn exactly how and why William won through  luck, weakness and strength that helped crown William the new King of England.
